Where we spend our money matters. At the Yelm Co-op, we believe in offering products that are locally produced, naturally processed, organic and GMO-free as much as possible. “It’s a great place to shop,” says Manager Debbie Burgan. “We believe in organic, and we’re moving diligently to promote GMO awareness in our products, ask questions about our vendors and eliminate growth hormones like RBST from our milk and eggs. Our customers want to know about these things.”

“We really want to emphasize products from Yelm,” says General manager Barnaby Urich Rintz. “But it has been a bit of a challenge filling our shelves with products that are made exclusively in this community.” As a result, we also provide popular products that are made in Olympia, Lacey, Tacoma, Seattle and Portland.”
