The right Butcher makes all the difference. There is pride in our Butchers who see themselves as an old breed of craftsman. It’s true the cut of meat matters. It’s true our Butchers respect the animal and work with Ranchers who do so as well. We find the best artisan Butchers who specialize in organic, locally grown and sustainable meat products and services.

Pork
Raised Right!
Our Farmers raise their hogs without hormones, antibiotics, and of course are humanely treated. In Fact hogs are raised unconfined and bedded in thick straw, given plenty of room to roam, and access to fresh air and sunshine. This extra care results in rich and delicious organic pork. Nothing is stopping you from BBQ pork kabob for Dad’s birthday party. Marinated stuffed pork chops are a smash hit around the holidays. Ground pork makes the best meatballs and pork breakfast sausages are delightful. Your inner Chef loves to experiment with Pork.

Flock to Dinner
Nothing smells better than a roasting chicken on Saturday night. We assure you that the chickens in the Yelm Co-op are Certified – Humane Raised and handled. Our Members want to know these birds are certified organic and have been raised without antibiotics or growth hormones. We carry pure, air-chilled chicken that is flavourful and delicious. The air chilling technique makes quite a difference in the muscle and integrity of the meat. Natural juices are preserved, and the meat can absorb the seasonings better, ending up with a more tender chicken.
Chicken chili is such a good after-ski meal or why not make chicken carbonara for your visiting relatives. You can rely on the quality, all you need is your own creative seasonings and inner desire to nurture your family and friends with fabulous organic chicken from the Yelm Co-op!

Buy wild salmon directly from the fisherman! What’s not to love about a wild-caught boneless salmon filet grilled to perfection. There is nothing in between you and your fish for dinner, except melted Irish butter. Get on board with salmon, whether you are pan-seared, poaching, or baking, our salmon will not disappoint.
Salmon contains Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s reduce heart disease, depression, and risk of Alzheimer’s. They are also a great source of protein. Salmon also contains the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin, which prevents certain types of cancers and contributes to the health of the eyes and the central nervous system.
